As we head into the final four races of the 2024 Super Tour National Championship, everyone is shocked to see that the top 5 in the Super Pro category is exclusively made up of Door Car racers!
Current points leader “Speedy” Mike Chenier from Gatineau is in the lead with his 2008 Top Sportsman-style Corvette. Chenier holds a slim 100-point lead over defending champion Brock Godmaire from Kirkland Lake, Ontario. In third place is Danny Lanctot from St-Eustache with his Roadster, just 100 points behind second place. Previous points leader Roch Beaudoin from Corbeil, Ontario, now sits in fourth, with Max Gauthier rounding out the top 5.
Defending Super Pro Dragster champion Phil Harvey is the best on the dragster side, holding 6th and 7th places, with both of his entries making it into the top 10.
Only 500 points (less than two winning rounds) separate first from seventh place in the Super Pro category.
In the Footbrake category, this year is all about Larry Lepine, who has a commanding 1,100-point lead over second-place Darryl Jensen. With some strong recent finishes, Noemie Ballabey is now in 3rd place, followed by perennial top 10 finishers Stephen Ballantyne and François Rondeau.
The Junior Dragster competition is also very tight, with Parker Seguin leading the way over Lea Monaghan. Katie Adams, Mavrick Angers, and Annabelle Soucy round out the top 5.
