Epic end of the season for the Super Tour!
Hard to believe! The racing season is once again coming to an end. September is always busy in the world of drag racing in Quebec and 2018 is no exception!
The final weekend of the Bernard MNJ Super Tour National Championship will be held in Luskville during the Labor Day weekend, a presentation of NAPA Auto Parts in collaboration with Ogilvie Auto and Automobiles MP.
Activities will begin on Friday, August 31 with the D & D Performance Gambler’s Race. The races will continue throughout the weekend as the EML Super Pro, Quick Blade Wipers Pro and Ogilvie Juniors categories will be on track.
Weekend Entry fees are $ 350 for Super Pros, $175 for the Pros, and $ 80 for the Jr.Dragster. No gate fees for racers who purshase weekend entries. The Super Pro winners will each win $5,000, the Pro winners will win $2,000 while the Jr. Dragster class winners will receive $250. The Bracket Super Tour is the only championship in Quebec to reward the 16 best racers in the Super Pro and Pro categories.
Deadline for t-shirts
There is still time for members of the Super Tour who did not receive their t-shirts to pick them up at Jay Beaulieu’s trailer. After the weekend, they will go on sale on DragRaceQuebec.com.
National Championship
Butch Douglas leads the national championship in the EML Mecanique Super Pro category with a score of 4,500 points. He is followed by Richard Arnold with 4,200 points, Roch Beaudoin with 4,100 points, Frank Angers with 3,500 points and Darren Frasso with 3,300 points.
Martin Lassiseraye is the leader in the Quick Blade Wipers Pro class with a cumulative of 4,600 points. He is followed by Dan Pillwein with 4,100 points, Eric Corriveau with 3,900 points, Mike Reynolds with 3,700 points and Daniel Blouin with 3,000 points.
Félix Ballabey is the leader in the Ogilvie Junior class with a cumulative score of 4,000 points. He is followed by Landyn Urslak with 2,700 points.
The 2018 National Champions will be known at the end of Saturday’s activites at the Canadian Bracket Finals wich will be held for September 21 to 23 at Icar Mirabel. This race was added to the national championship after the cancellation of the Pont-Rouge Super Tour Weekend. Sunday’s race will be a non-championship race.
Championship Points cumulative
In case of absence, you can pay your entry to get your points of presence or have completed your registration as a team of two riders at the beginning of the season.
Last race at ICAR Mirabel
The last race of the season for the Bracket Super Tour will be held from September 21 to 23 at ICAR Mirabel. The 4th annual Canadian Bracket Finals is back again this year. The biggest party of the year in the world of drag in Quebec, an event not to be missed!
